heres a skull robot thing i made.    this was an assignment for uni i had to make a designer toy and i decided a skull with rather transformerish /starwars legs would be the way to go!  this pic here was how the idea originated.  this is some of the conceptual drawings and the robot below i drew in one class i had and just thought id chuck it on here to.  |

Woah, how do you do the shading on tht last robot(transformer) ?? and also is it still using Freehand?

combo.
freehand for the line work and photoshop for the colour.
i use a wacom tablet to paint the colour on.
you can kinda do this with a mouse you just have the brushes opacity at like 30 % or less and keep applying colour untill it builds up to the desired effect.

  this is the prise i won for my costume that i made for design camp (speakers from around the world come and talk to graphic design students about what they are doing in the industry! the devil robots usually come but they werent thee this year the dog is one of there toys.) I also one an ipod but you guys don't wanna see that! here is me and my costume it had working speakers and lights!  here is my mate simo's one  he got some other prise! enjoy. |
